The author & illustrator of First Class Wonder will discuss their creative process.

Author Ken Shearwood wrote a poem a few years ago for his granddaughter, as she was getting ready for her first day of kindergarten. He wanted her to know about some of the challenges faced by every kindergartner. He has now made this poem into a book to help and encourage other children on their first special day of school.

Kate Riley, a 2020 graduate of Teays Valley High School, was selected to be the illustrator. 

Books are available for a $10 donation (cash or check only, please) and all proceeds from the book sales will be given to Nationwide Children's Hospital.
