Discussing Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. Written in 1847, this novel is about two families living on the West Yorkshire moors, the Earnshaws and the Lintons, and their turbulent relationships with Earnshaw's adopted son, Heathcliff. Influenced by Romanticism and Gothic fiction, this novel was controversial when it was published for its depictions of mental and physical cruelty, and for its challenges to Victorian morality and religious and societal values.

This book club reads fiction & non-fiction. Titles are suggested by members and chosen by the moderator. Evening meetings are held on the fourth Wednesdays at 7 p.m.
